The worship team exists to edify and encourage the body of Christ within this church as part of the helps ministry (l Cor 12:28). Our goal is to praise and worship God, not just in meetings but with our lives so that ‘the words of our mouth and the meditations of our heart’ are acceptable to the Lord (Ps 19:14). Within a meeting, the goal is to bring the congregation into the presence of God (2Ch 7:1,2; I Pet 2:5) and set the stage for the preaching of the Word of God with the ultimate goal of changing lives into the image of God (Rom 12:1,2; 2 Cor 3:18). Music is a tool for achieving this purpose. Areas of service include: Vocal Artists, Sound Engineering, Overhead Projection/Display, Instrumentalists and choir ministry We believe that praise and worship is an effective way to glorify God and bring people closer to Him. We believe that music is powerful means of communicating God’s love and grace in our lives, so we continually strive to put God first when planning and preparing for each service, asking for His guidance in accomplishing this purpose. We believe that God has a specific purpose for your life and how He has gifted you. Ephesians, chapter 4, teaches us that God has redeemed us and gifted us to serve within the Body of Christ. What could be more fun than fulfilling the purpose that God has set you apart to do? In the Old Testament, God would “set-apart” musicians to lead in the temple worship. God is still “setting apart” people today and gifting them to serve in His church. We have been “set apart” for just that purpose. We are convinced that only a person, gifted and called by God will be able to fulfill the praise and worship ministry expectations, or better yet, would even desire to. As you read the accompanying guidelines and materials attached, pray about your calling. We are excited to be serving God with you. The Praise & Worship Team is one of the ministries under the Senior Pastor. This team serves as a preparer of our hearts, minds, and souls for worship every service. Often times when we arrive at the worship service, our minds are cluttered by the odds and ends of the world. The role of the team is to help remove that clutter so people can focus on worshipping the Lord. With that, we depend solely on the Holy Spirit for His anointing, leading and guidance. God has promised us in Ps 22:3 that “He is enthroned in the praises of His people.” Our purpose is to glorify and lift His name for He is greatly to be praised.

Mission.
- To see the people of God draw into a closer relationship with God as He is exalted through the ministry of song.
- To usher in the presence of the Holy Spirit in our practices and in services, causing us to be transformed and thereby influencing the people of God into a deeper relationship with God.
- To know, recognize, and experience to the full the Lord’s presence in our services and to further communicate the Gospel through worship, using the tools, technology and giftedness to achieve excellence in all for the glory God.
- To train up a worship team of men and women who are radical in their service to God and in their expression of love and devotion to Him.
- To create a team that flows together in unity and who knows how to minister to the heart of God by pouring out themselves before Him.
- To train individuals who lead by example, not by talent.
- To train a team of “extreme worshipers” that realizes that this is not our right, but our divine privilege.
- To develop a team that longs to create an atmosphere that compels and draws people into the presence of God.
