"Take therefore the talent from him,and give unto him which hath ten talents".(Matthew 25 vs 28). That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional Today.
In today's Focal Scripture, the talent that was earlier given to the unprofitable servant was retrieved and given to the servant who gained five talents. One servant failed his master, and the consequence was that he lost his talent to a fellow servant who pleased the master. One servant failed to live up to expectations, and he lost his talent to a servant who lived up to expectations.
Notice that the master himself instructed that the talent of the unprofitable servant should be given to the most profitable servant. So, the profitable servant did not struggle to take the talent of his fellow servant;he got it because the master gave it to him.
Friend, hear God's warning to You: When you live an unprofitable life, you run the risk of losing your place in destiny to other people who are living profitably. When you are uncommitted in what you do, the next person to you who is committed is capable of taking your place. Anyone around you who is prayerful, diligent, committed, consistent, efficient, resilient, resourceful, respectful etc is a potential threat to you if you are deficient in the positive traits that make them tick.
Acts 1 vs 20 describes the fate of One who fails to do the right thing; it says,"For it is written in the Book of Psalms,Let his habitation be desolate, and let no man dwell therein: and his bishoprick, let another take".
Step up your game;don't push God into giving other people your place!
Pray with me,"Lord,I shall remain committed in doing what is right;I will not lose my place to another,in Jesus' name".
Have a Splendid Tuesday!
