Streams of Joy Devotionals(Saturday August 31)

"And forgive us our debts,as we forgive our debtors".(Matthew 6 vs 12).

Today's Focal Scripture reveals a conditional prayer that Jesus instructed His disciples to make. He taught them to say,"And forgive us our debts,as we forgive our debtors". Jesus seemed to affirm that the condition for God's forgiveness is that we must forgive those who have hurt us. He presented God's forgiveness as an issue that is tied to our ability and willingness to forgive.

Isn't it true that we are often quick to ask God for forgiveness, yet so often, we are not willing to forgive people who have hurt us?

Friend, hear God's warning to you: The forgiveness you wish to receive from God is tied to your ability to forgive. The only way that God will forgive you is when you deliberately forgive others.

Beloved, I know they hurt you so badly, please let the hurt go. They lied against you, betrayed you, gossiped against you and denied you what was rightfully yours,God says, don't hold what they did against them. Just forgive them and move on.

Jesus didn't ask His disciples to forgive those who ask for forgiveness; He asked them to forgive EVERYONE.

Hand over your hurt and pain to God;ask God to deliver you from unforgiveness. Forgive your transgressors so that God can forgive you!

Pray with me,"Lord, help me to forgive every hurt in Jesus name".

Have a Restful Saturday!

Streams of Joy Devotional(Friday August 30)

"And forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors".(Matthew 6 vs 12). That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional Today.

It is instructive to observe that in PART ONE of Today's Focal Scripture,Jesus taught His disciples to pray that God will forgive their debts. Jesus taught His disciples that God can forgive them when they fall into sin. He inadvertently announced to His disciples that there is forgiveness with God. God is willing to forgive when the sinner is willing to ask for forgiveness.

Jesus' assertion presupposes that there may be times when we would sin against God. His assertion states that in our walk with God we may offend God,and be in need of His forgiveness. Jesus was simply saying that when we walk into sin against God,there is a provision for forgiveness.

One strategy of the enemy is to make us dwell in the guilt of what we have done instead of embracing the forgiveness Jesus already paid for on the cross. Sometimes we continue in sin because the devil makes us feel we have sinned beyond remedy.

Beloved, there is forgiveness of sins with God. There is forgiveness when we confess our failures to God.

Do you feel you have offended God? Do you feel God must be disappointed in you by your actions? Are there things you can't tell others but you know they really hurt God?

Just open your mouth now and ask God for mercy for every sin you have committed knowingly or unknowingly; He is ready to forgive. Divinity misses your company. Jehovah is in love with you. Hear the gentle voice of the Holy Spirit saying,"Come home".

Pray with me,"Lord, forgive me for every sin I have committed knowingly and unknowingly in Jesus name".

Streams of Joy Devotional(Thursday August 29)

"Give us this day Our Daily Bread".(Matthew 6 vs 11). That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional Today.

In Our Focal Scripture, Jesus taught His disciples to pray, "Give us this day our daily bread". The Word "DAILY" as used in that Scripture is derived from the Greek Word 'EPIOUSIOUS'. EPIOUSIOUS could be interpreted to mean 'TOMORROW' or 'FUTURE'. So, Jesus taught His disciples to pray that God would give them bread for the Future; He taught them to make demands for tomorrow's bread.

Now,Jesus didn't ask His disciples to pray that tomorrow's bread shall come tomorrow. He taught them to say,"Give us this day". He taught them to pray that tomorrow's bread shall come today. He taught them to pray that what they need for tomorrow will be supplied today. He taught them to pray that what they need for the future will be delivered to them in the present.

Isn't it true that most times, we worry about the future because we only have enough for 'Today'? Sometimes, we are scared of the Future because we do not have enough supplies to meet tomorrow's demands.

Friend, hear God's Plan for your destiny: You shall not just have bread for today;God says, you shall have bread for tomorrow. You shall not just have enough to last for today; you shall have more than enough. You may have known that realm of having enough just for the moment, but God says, you are about to step into a new level where you will have supplies that will last, not only for you,but even for your next generation.

Proverbs 13 vs 22 says "A good man liveth an inheritance to his children's children...". How can this good man do this if all he has is just today's 'bread'?

God is transiting you from the level of 'Just enough' to the realm of 'More than Enough'.

Do you know that Tomorrow's Bread(Financial Provision, Idea, Expectations etc) can come today?

Pray with me,"Lord, give me Today what I need for my Tomorrow in Jesus name".

Have a Beautiful Thursday!

Streams of Joy Devotional (Wednesday August 28)

"Give us this day our daily bread".(Matthew 6 vs 11). That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional Today.

It is instructive to observe that in today's Focal Scripture,Jesus taught His disciples to pray to God and say, "Give us this day our daily bread". Jesus taught his disciples to make demands for God to give them;He taught them to call for divine provision. He taught them to call for supplies from heaven.

Isn't it tragic that we often look around us for sustenance forgetting the concept of divine provision. Sometimes,we literally focus completely on the benevolence and magnanimity of family and friends for sustenance, but we seem to forget that God Himself has more than enough to give to us.

Friend, hear this: God has the capacity to supply whatever you need in destiny. God has the ability to load your life with daily provision. He has the ability to give you what you need;beyond what you can do for yourself.

Continue to be diligent in what you do for a living but always remember Philippians 4 vs 19 encourages,"But my God shall supply all your needs according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus". When God gives; He gives according to his capability not according to your capacity, when that happens, its called Over-Flow. He doesn't give according to the convenience of the economy.

Today,God shall send Divine Supplies your way in an immeasurable manner in your area of need!

Pray with me,"Lord,I receive my Divine Supply in my area of need in Jesus name".

Streams of Joy Devotional(Monday August 26)

"Thy Kingdom come..."(Matthew 6 vs 10). That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional Today.

One unique characteristic of God's Kingdom is found in Revelations 21 vs 25,it says," And the Gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there". So,there is no night in the Kingdom of Heaven. There is no darkness in heaven. There is no darkness in God. The Kingdom of God is characterised by continuous light and zero tolerance for darkness.

Notice that in our Focal Scripture, that Jesus instructed His disciples to pray,"THY KINGDOM COME". Put differently, Jesus taught his disciples to pray that the system of heaven where Light reigns supreme should be made manifest in their lives. He taught them to call forth the heavenly system where there is continuous light.

Friend,God says,You belong to the heavenly Kingdom and there is no room for darkness in your destiny. You belong to the Kingdom of God and there shall be no night time in your destiny.

Darkness is anything that depicts sin or works of the devil. The life of God in you is a light that can quench any darkness that the enemy brings your way. Whenever there is any form of darkness in or around, just call forth the light of God in you to disperse the darkness with His light.

If the Light of God is truly in you, demons cannot mess around your destiny successfully. They can only come close, but the Light of God in you won't let them succeed.

John 1 vs 5 captures it thus,"The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness cannot overcome it".

Pray with me,"Lord,I choose to walk in your light;may your light defeat every darkness around me".

Have an Awesome Monday and an Immensely Fruitful Week!

As we expect the Month of September this week, I wish you NENIKEKA: Its a greek Word that means COMPLETE VICTORY. Your Testimony shall be Complete and your Victory shall be perfect in Jesus name!

Streams of Joy Devotional (Friday August 23)

"Thy Kingdom come".(Matthew 6 vs 10). That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional.

As we continue our meditation on the Lord's Prayer, one thing is worth considering: Revelations 4 vs 8 offers some insight into God's Kingdom;it says, "And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him,and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying,Holy,Holy,Holy,Lord God Almighty, which was,and is and is to come". This is definitely the language of intense praise and worship. So, the Kingdom of God is synonymous with ceaseless praise and worship.

Notice that in today's Focal Scripture,Jesus instructed His disciples to pray,"THY KINGDOM COME". Jesus was indirectly teaching his disciples to pray that there will be ceaseless praise. He was simply instructing His disciples to declare that the principle of ceaseless praise in heaven will reign supreme in the earth realm.

Friend, when you declare "Thy Kingdom come', you are simply telling God to introduce that system that operates in heaven where there is ceaseless praise and celebration. When you declare "Thy Kingdom come",you are invoking the power of continuous praise and worship over your life.

Beloved, our Kingdom is not of this world. Once you live in the consciousness of the Kingdom you belong to,there shall be ceaseless praise in your family and marriage. After the trials and temptations, it MUST always end in praise!

Is the devil fighting your praise? Get your praise party on. Praise even when you don't understand it. Praise for who God is. Praise for He's got your back at all times. Praise because your praise panics the devil. Your Praise is an instrument of warfare.

In the Kingdom of God where we belong to,its either you PRAISE or you PRAISE!

Pray with me,"Lord, through the good and trying times,I will NEVER lose my Praise in Jesus name".

Have a Fabulous Friday!

Streams of Joy Devotional(Thursday August 22

"Thy Kingdom come..."(Matthew 6 vs 10). That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional Today.

In Today's Focal Scripture,Jesus was teaching His disciples to pray, and He instructed them to declare, "THY KINGDOM COME". He literally asked them to pray that God's Kingdom will come upon them. Revelation 19 vs 4 offers some insight into God's Kingdom;it says, "And the four and twenty elders and the four beasts fell down and worshiped God that sat on the throne, saying, Amen; Hallelujah". So, one thing that is synonymous with God's Kingdom is the fact that everything bows before God.

That means, when Jesus taught His disciples to pray,"Thy Kingdom come",He was indirectly asking them to pray that everything will bow to God's supremacy. He was simply teaching them to command everything to bow to the God who sits on the throne. He was simply teaching them to establish that unique principle of God's Kingdom where no rival throne survives.

Divine Kingdom Right stipulates that everything must bow to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. When His immortal Kingdom comes among mortality, everything bow.

Today,is there anything in your destiny working against you? God says, command it to bow. Command the Kings of this world to bow to God's Word concerning you. Command the forces of darkness operating against you to bow to the Lordship of Jesus in your life. Command that sickness to bow. Command the challenges in your spirituality, marriage, finances to bow. If any problem has over-stayed in your life, command it to bow.

In the Kingdom where God super-intends,mortality and immortality bow!

Pray with me,"Lord,I command every challenge or stubborn issue in my life to bow to your Lordship in Jesus name".

Have a Blessed,Fabulous, Splendid,Amazing,Exciting ,Exhilarating and immensely rewarding Thursday!

Streams of Joy Devotional(Satruday August 17)

"Surely,Goodness and Mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever".(Psalms 23 vs 6). That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.

As we conclude our meditation of Psalms 23,it is important to take a close look at David's closing declaration. David announced that goodness and mercy shall follow him all the days of his life;he also declared that he will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. David's declaration in our Focal scripture was divided into two with the use of a 'colon' ( : ).

A Colon indicates that whatever follows the colon is an explanation of whatever precedes the colon. So, David's assertion that goodness and mercy shall follow him was explained by the fact that he would dwell in the house of the Lord forever. David implied that if goodness and mercy would follow him,he would have to dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Ultimately,David only affirmed that the major reason why Goodness and Mercy would follow him is for him to dwell in the house of the Lord!

Friend, glean some wisdom from the Psalmist: If you truly need goodness and mercy to chase after you, then lean to dwell more and more in the house of the Lord. The house of the Lord isn't just about designated places of worship;its simply about the PRESENCE OF THE LORD. Always living in the presence of the Lord wherever you are.

Wait a minute, did Goodness and Mercy come your way and you left the presence of God instead of dwelling in it? If so,you got it wrong! Did God bless you and suddenly you have no time of communion with him? Have the gifts subtly taken the place of the Giver?

The Psalmist said and I paraphrase, "No matter how great your goodness, mercy and blessings are upon me, I will never walk away from you. I will cling to you Lord. You are all that matters".

Pray with me,"Lord, help me to dwell always in your presence every day of my life in Jesus name".

Streams of Joy Devotional(Thursday August 15)

"Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil;my cup runneth over".(Psalms 23 vs 5). That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional Today.

In Today's Focal Scripture, David profoundly declared: "Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies".

Notice that David did not declare that God would send the enemies away before preparing a table before him; he declared that the enemies will still be there while God prepares a table before him. By implication, David was simply saying that when God gets set to do something new for him,his enemies will be witnesses, helplessly watching but unable to stop the show.

Friend, hear this: Your enemies will watch God prepare a table for you, and they will only watch helplessly without stopping what God is doing. Are there people who have vowed to stop every good thing that is coming your way? God says, they will watch you step into the next level, and they can't do anything to stop you. Are there people who have decided to pull you down with hateful gossip? Don't worry, they will continue to watch as God blesses you extravagantly.

Wait a minute, the reason God may decide to prepare the table in their presence might just be that when you are done eating, they can at least wash the dirty plates and clear the tables!

Get set: God will bless you again despite their conspiracies, hateful words, bitter gossips, manipulations, enchantments and incantations! You are Unstoppable!

Pray with me,"Lord,I receive the table you have prepared for me despite the enemies around in Jesus name".

Streams of Joy Devotional (Wednesday August 14)

"Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,I will fear no evil: for thou art with me;thy rod and thy staff they comfort me".(Psalms 23 vs 4). That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional Today.

It is instructive to observe that the Psalmist did not only make reference to the rod of the Shepherd;he also mentioned the staff of the Shepherd as well. David declared, thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me. Like we earlier observed, the rod of the Shepherd is a weapon used in attacking predators;the Shepherd's staff however is symbolic of authority. The Shepherd's staff signifies that the Shepherd has authority over the Sheep. The Staff is the Shepherd's tool of control over the Sheep.

So, when the issue of defending the Sheep arises, the Shepherd rises to the occasion because he already has authority over the Sheep. When the Sheep is in danger, the Shepherd comes to the rescue as a direct consequence of his ownership of the sheep. That means, a Shepherd does not necessarily go about defending Sheep that do not belong to Him;he defends his own sheep. He defends the Sheep that are under his authority.

Friend, hear this: Just like a Shepherd defends the Sheep under his authority,God will defend you if you live under His authority. The question now is,"Does God have authority(control) over your life?". Can the gentle whisper of the Spirit stop you if you want to go your way? Can God interrupt your plans? Do you trust his words wholeheartedly to live by them? Have you learnt to submit your wishes, ambitions, thoughts, emotions, actions and inactions under God's authority and let Him control you.

When God is fully in charge of your life; It becomes a lifestyle for you to enjoy Divine defense and immunity!

Pray with me,"Lord,I submit to your authority".

Streams of Joy Devotionals (Tuesday August 13)

"Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me;thy rod and thy staff they comfort me".(Psalms 23 vs 4). That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional Today.

It is remarkably noteworthy that while a Shepherd takes his sheep around, wild animals like lions and foxes may come to harm the sheep. They come to cause harm to the sheep while they are being led by the Shepherd;but the Shepherd doesn't just sit back to watch his sheep decimated by wild animals;the Shepherd responds by using his rod to attack the attackers of his Sheep. When it seems that the Sheep are vulnerable to wild animals, the Shepherd arises with his rod to defend his sheep.

Notice that in our Focal Scripture,David declared: "THY ROD AND THY STAFF,THEY COMFORT ME". Put differently,David declared that his comfort is in the fact that when wild animals around come to make him a prey,God will use his rod to attack them on his behalf! David was simply announcing that : THE EXISTENCE OF HATERS OR ATTACKERS DOES NOT MAKE HIM VULNERABLE!

Friend, hear this: God will not fold his arms and watch your haters or attackers hurt or harm you. He will fight on your behalf. The enemies of your destiny are simply fishing in troubled waters when they come to fight you. The angels of God are on assignment, and they will fight against every Spiritual wickedness against you.

Beloved, don't fret on account of the empty boast of those who don't like you. Isaiah 49 vs 25b captures it thus,"...For I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children".

The Rod of God is your answer and comfort to the threat of the enemy!

Pray with me,"Lord,I will be still, let your rod fight my battles in Jesus name".

"Yea,though I walk through the valley of the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me..."(Psalms 23 vs 4). That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional Today.

It is important to observe that when the Psalmist made mention of the Valley of the Shadow of death, he did not say he would dwell there forever; he only said he would walk through it. That means, there may be times when the Shepherd would take his sheep through the valley of the shadow of death, but the Shepherd cannot allow the Sheep to stay or live there. The Sheep walks through it and eventually walks out of it.

Friend, the Valley of the Shadow of death might just be anything that has a semblance of negativity. God is saying- It is not your destination. You will definitely walk out of it soon.

If it seems you are stuck in any negative circumstance or experience, please keep moving. Don't accept it and don't adjust to it . Reject it. Keep praying until you step out of the issues that you are stuck in. Keep making progress despite the negativity you see around you.

As a new week begins, don't settle in a "Valley" you are meant to walk through. Every negative circumstance in your destiny is a phase, not a destination. You may seem trapped now,but the noise of Victory will soon be heard around you.

Remind everyone who thinks you are stuck in the Valley of the Shadow of death that its only a matter of time, You are definitely coming out of every ugly and negative experience or challenge. Just repeat this after me,"I'M COMING OUT"!

Pray with me,"Lord,I refuse to dwell in the Valley of the Shadow of death,I will move until I move out in Jesus name".

Streams of Joy Devotional(Sunday August 11)

"Yea, though I walk through the valley of the Shadow of death,I will fear no evil: for thou art with me;thy rod and thy staff they comfort me".(Psalms 23 vs 4). That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional Today.

In Today's Focal Scripture, the Psalmist made reference to the Valley of the Shadow of death. He didn't call it the Valley of death;he called it the Valley of the Shadow of death. He referred to death as a shadow. A Shadow is just an imperfect imitation or copy. So, he was speaking of the valley where there is a fake semblance of death.

Notice that the Psalmist declared that even though he walks through the valley of the shadow of death,he would fear no evil. First, the Psalmist realised that the perceived danger was intangible;he however understood the tangibility and supremacy of God's Presence. He seemed to say, even when the Shadow of death is near, the presence of God is even nearer.

Friend, hear this: The shadow of death may seem close but God is with you. The enemy may be hanging around like a hawk, seeking an opportunity to devour you,but God says,"I AM WITH YOU". There may be signs of negativity all around you but again God thunders,"I AM WITH YOU".

Everything that is trying to speak fear into you is just a mere shadow that will disappear when the light of God shines on you. Every sickness in your body is just a shadow; Every trouble in your family or marriage is just a shadow; Every financial lack is just a shadow.

Friend,Great Light dispels shadow. Continue to live under the Light of God's Presence and God will shine His light through your life and you will naturally find the shadows around you die a natural death!

Whatever happens this week, can you hear God consistently whispering to your heart, saying,"I AM WITH YOU". Wait a minute, IF GOD BE FOR US....??? =D \=D/

Pray with me,"Lord, I believe your Word; YOU ARE WITH ME".

Streams of Joy Devotional (Saturday August 10)

"...he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake".(Psalms 23 vs 3). That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional Today.

It is instructive to note that in Today's Focal Scripture,David made mention of the Paths of Righteousness. Put differently, he was just saying that Righteousness has paths. Not all paths lead to righteousness.

One mistake we often make is that we seek to live righteously, yet we end up walking in paths that will predispose us to unrighteousness. Sometimes, the main reason why we live in unrighteousness is because we maintain ungodly relationships that predispose us to sin, we engage in discussions that eventually prepare the ground for sin, we feast our eyes and ears on things that inspire unrighteousness within us,and we dwell on thoughts that eventually give birth to sin.

Friend, hear God's Word today: Righteousness has paths. If you truly wish to please God, walk in the paths that are consistent with the principles of God's Word. If there are paths that help you please God,walk in them. Maintain relationships that reinforce your choice to live righteously;engage in discussions that add value to your inner man. Let your thoughts be centered on positive issues that won't defile you.

It is profusely hypocritical to lay claims to God's righteousness, yet walking in the paths of unrighteousness.

Psalms 1 vs 1 summaries it beautifully,it says,"Blessed (happy, fortunate, prosperous, enviable) is the man who walks and lives not in the counsel of the ungodly(following their advice, their plans and purposes),nor stands(submissive and inactive) in the paths where sinners walk, nor sits down(to relax and rest) where the scornful(and the mockers) gather". (Amplified Translation).

Please note again: RIGHTEOUSNESS HAS A PATH; NOT ALL PATHS LEAD TO RIGHTEOUSNESS!

Pray with me,"Lord, help me to discern and walk in the paths of righteousness in Jesus name".

Streams of Joy Devotional (Friday August 9

"He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake".(Psalms 23 vs 3). That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional Today.

Today's Focal Scripture is divided into two using a colon( : ). The first phrase says,"he restoreth my soul", while the second phrase says, "he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake". The two phrases are separated by a colon ( : ).  When a colon is used, it simply suggests that the first statement is explained by the second statement.

So, when the Psalmist declared that God restores his soul, he further explained that the purpose of restoration is so that he could walk in the paths of righteousness. He inferred that soul restoration prepares him to walk the path of righteousness. He inferred that until his soul is stable, living a righteous life might just be a struggle.

Friend, hear this: there are things you cannot do,and there are some things you cannot be,until your soul is restored and rescued by God. You may try hard to forgive people who hurt you,but unforgiveness will continually resonate within you if God has not rescued your soul. You may never manifest love,Joy, Peace, Self-control, Patience, Kindness, Goodness and other fruit of the Spirit until God's Word renews your soul.

The soul is the seat of our Will,Thoughts, Enotions etc. So,When a Soul is restored, every desire, thought and feeling emanating from it is aligned to God's will. When your soul is renewed by God, it becomes vulnerable to the leading of the Spirit. When a soul is restored, your will, will be lost in the will of the Lord. When a soul is renewed daily by God's Word, it becomes like a clay in the hands of the Lord and he will always mould you to fit into his pattern.

The restoration of a soul happens in the place of prayer and by God's Word. Are you praying and studying the Word?

Pray with me,"Lord,restore my soul".

Have a Fabulous Friday!

Streams of Joy Devotional (Thursday August 8)

"He restoreth my soul..."(Psalms 23 vs 3). That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.

In Today's Focal Scripture, the Psalmist declared that God restores his soul. The soul is the seat of human emotions, thoughts, feelings, will etc. We often encounter circumstances that affect our souls quite negatively; when this happens,we begin to harbour and breed feelings of fear, doubt, depression, bitterness, pain, unforgiveness, dejection etc. Its all a soul affair!

So, when the Psalmist declared that God restores his soul,he was simply announcing God's capacity to recall, recover, refresh, rescue and retrieve his soul. He was simply inferring that when his soul deviates from the original settings that God put in place, the same God who made the soul would restore it to normalcy. That means when the soul is entrapped in negative emotions,God has the capacity to rescue it.

On daily basis, we often have experiences that put our souls in a trap. Sometimes we are hurt by people and we end up with feelings of bitterness and unforgiveness. We face tragedies and souls are locked up in sorrow and depression. Sometimes, lust eats up the core of our souls. When our souls get into trouble, we start desiring what we shouldn't desire.

Has your soul deviated from the setting that God put in place? Are your emotions beginning to run haywire negatively? Has bitterness, lust, anger, revenge, depression etc trapped your soul? Ask God to restore and deliver your soul from every entrapment of the enemy.

When a soul is endangered, your thoughts and decisions become dysfunctional and ultimately your actions will be a haven of dangerous flaws.

When God delivers your soul, you will shout like the Psalmist in Psalms 124 vs 7,"My Soul has gone free like a bird out of the net of those who would take her: the net is broken, and we are free".

Pray with me,"Lord,restore my soul"

Have a Blessed Thursday!

Streams of joy Devotional (Wednesday August 7)

"He restoreth my soul..."(Psalms 23 vs 3). That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional Today.

It is remarkably noteworthy that in today's Focal Scripture, the Psalmist affirmed that God restores his soul. He made reference to God's ability to restore. He made reference to the fact that there are times when there is something that needs to be restored in his life; God himself will rise to the occasion.

Restoration simply means the return of something to its owner. A Process of repairing or renovating so as to take such thing back to its original condition. So, the Psalmist seemed to infer that when he loses something in the road of destiny,it will be restored by God. He was also saying, just in case what he has is damaged in his journey through life;God will repair and renovate it for him.

Friend, are there things that the enemy has stolen from you? Ask God to restore them now. Ask God to restore the gifts that you have lost. Ask God to restore your lost opportunities. Ask God to restore the peace and joy of your family if the devil has stolen it. Ask God to restore your zeal for God if it has grown cold.

Proverbs 6:31 offers a useful insight into the issue of restoration after the enemy has stolen; it says,"But when the thief be found, he shall restore sevenfold...". That means, whatever the devil steals from you,in your season of restoration, you will not just receive exactly what you lost; you will receive a seven-fold restoration of what the enemy stole. It is called Restoration with Compensation!

Your restoration has come. From this minute you are reading this,God is ushering you to an unmistakable season of heavy restoration. You have cried enough. You have lost enough, its time to take back whatever the devil has stolen!

Pray with me,"Lord, restore to me everything I have lost and everything generations before me lost in Jesus name".

Streams of Joy Devotional (Monday August 5)

"...he leadeth me beside the still waters".(Psalms 23 vs 2). That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional Today.

It is important to observe that a Sheep can only drink from still(calm) waters. Sheep cannot drink from running and fast moving waters. So, in the oriental culture, a Shepherd would often use stones to create a pool for the Sheep to drink from. The Shepherd recognises that the sheep could be swept away by running waters, the Shepherd recognises the weakness of the Sheep. The Shepherd knows that the Sheep can't drink the way the Lions and deers drink and he stills the waters for the Sheep.

Notice that in Today's Focal Scripture, the Psalmist declared, "HE LEADETH ME BESIDE STILL WATERS". Put differently, the Psalmist declared that when the waters of life come running at full speed,God would calm the waters all by himself. The Psalmist was also implying that God understands his weakness and what he can't handle, and that He(God) goes ahead of him to fix every situation to make life comfortable for him.

Today,God says, "I am your Shepherd, and I will still your waters so that you can drink". God will do for you what you can't do for yourself. God will give you victory in those battles you cannot fight on your own. When it seems you are competing with people who are stronger and better than you,the mercy of God will come in handy and give you success.

He knows what you can't handle. He will calm and still the waters for you. His strength will be made perfect in your weakness.

Streams of joy Devotional (Sunday August 4)

"He maketh me to lie down in green pastures..."(Psalms 23 vs 2). That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional Today.

In Today's Focal Scripture, the Psalmist declared that God makes him to lie down in green pastures. Ordinarily, a sheep feeds on green pastures(grass);so, David indirectly affirmed that God makes him to lie down on the same thing he eats. David affirmed that God makes him relax on the same thing he takes in. David seemed to say,"What I eat makes me comfortable".

Friend, hear this: Every Word of God that you take in, will turn around to make you comfortable in destiny. Every Word that God has spoken to you will orchestrate a new level of comfort in your life. When you take in God's Word, you are not just wasting your time; you are simply getting set to relax more than ever before. God's word will not only satisfy the longing of your soul;it will also create some comfort that eyes can see.

Ordinarily, a sheep will only lie down(relax) after it has eaten. So also, you may not lie down in destiny until you have eaten sufficiently from God's Word. Some miracles that will give you comfort may not manifest until you have laid a foundation by eating the Word. In fact, every discomfort in your life is indicative of the need to eat again and again from the Word of God.

Remember, when the Sheep feeds on the green pastures, even the shepherd will have no option than to make the sheep to lie down. Make God's Word your regular meal everyday and God will orchestrate a new level of comfort in your destiny.

Pray with me,"Lord,I declare that as I feast on your Word,it shall give birth to comfort in my destiny in Jesus name".

Have a Blessed Sunday!

Streams of joy Devotional (Saturday August 3)

"The LORD is my Shepherd;I shall not want".(Psalms 23 vs 1). That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional Today.

In Today's Focal Scripture,David made one of the greatest assertions of all times. He boldly declared: I SHALL NOT WANT. He declared that he shall not want anything. He declared that he shall not lack anything. He declared that his destiny had been extricated from the realm of deprivation and insufficiency. He declared that Lack is not an option in his destiny.

Notice that before David declared that he shall not want,he announced that the Lord is his Shepherd. Ordinarily,it is the responsibility of a Shepherd to ensure that his sheep does not lack. So,by David's assertion, the responsibility of ensuring that he does not lack belongs to God. That means, the fact that he won't lack is all about the efforts of his shepherd.

Friend, hear this: If you have made God your Shepherd, He will take responsibility to ensure you do not lack anything. It is God's responsibility to ensure that lack does not exist in your destiny. If God is truly your Shepherd, then one thing is certain: You have access to God's riches through Christ Jesus.

If you have made God your Shepherd, then get set: You shall not lack opportunities; you shall not lack financially; You shall not suffer lack in your family. You shall not lack good health. You shall not lack peace of mind, wisdom or knowledge.

God didn't promise to supply to you according to your own riches; He supplies according to His own riches. He does not give you according to your capacity; He gives according to His own capability.

Lift up your right hand and declare with faith,"THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD,I SHALL NOT WANT".

Have a Restful Saturday!
